GEO stands for generative engine optimization. The audit scored the site 51 out of 100. Schema, the machine-readable label telling an AI what a page is, scored 3.

The club’s most important public page, membership, runs about 65 words and signs off with “contact Dianne,” typo included. The social icons in the footer link to nowhere. And because the club never published its own course yardage, the AIs went hunting and found three different numbers, 6,421, 6,875, and 6,925. Now they repeat whichever one they grabbed. The club is losing an argument about the length of its own golf course, and it is not even in the room.
